In honor of my sister-in-law's anniversary, I decided to take a picture of my metro tokens! Wahoo! Happy anniversary!!
Funny story: Here, people seem to buy up to maybe 4 subway tokens at a time. The tokens, however, only cost a dime, and
you can ride the subway as long as you want on one of them. I was following suit and only buying a couple at a time when I
just got kind of annoyed by that and decided to buy a lot. I went up to the window, handed the lady 20 UAH ($4) and asked
for 40 tokens. "Two?" she asked. No, 40. "40?!?!?" It seemed beyond her comprehension that someone would want that
many tokens at once. But, want them I did, and I haven't had to buy tokens for a week... Nor will I have to buy them for the
next three at least. Life is wonderful.
About the picture, usually when I take pictures of objects, I like to drop them or splay them (which of course means I have to
drop them and splay them numerous times until I get it to fall the way I want it to for the picture, but today I arranged the
tokens in a pattern to maybe give it more of a stretching-on-to-infinity look...
